Thus, the study and scientific knowledge of these are essential for improving the living conditions of the different ecosystems. In this work, different consortia of bacteria, from two cryopreserved samples, were isolated in which there were bacteria with poten tial degrading glyphosate. One called (M1C), where the herbicide is used as a carbon source and the other one called (M2F) that was used as a source of phosphorus, at a concentration of the selective means of 6 g/L of glyphosate and then it would be able t o determine their degrading capacity. Furthermore, in this study, it was possible to determine the effect of glyphosate, in different amounts ( 10 mg, 100 mg and 1000 mg), on bacterial communities in a sample of fertile soil, in which it was found that this chemical has significant effects on the growth of bacteria. On the other hand, the degrading capacity was evaluated on a laboratory scale for seven days, using HPLC technique coupled with UV. Treatment (M1C) removed approximately 54.50 % while treatment ( M2F) removed approximately 66.05 %. %K Bacteria %K Glifosato %K Herbicidas %K Biorremediación %K Contaminación de suelos %K Contaminación - Aspectos ambientales %K Trabajos de grado %K Química Farmacéutica %K Departamento de Ciencias Farmacéuticas %K Producción intelectual registrada - Universidad Icesi %~ GOEDOC, SUB GOETTINGEN
