TY - THES TI - Identificación de proteínas con actividad pla2 en el veneno de la serpiente bothrocophias myersi PB - Universidad Icesi PY - 2014 UR - http://hdl.handle.net/10906/77000 AB - The Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) are part of a diverse group of enzymes that play an important role in diverse cellular and physiological processes in vertebrates. These are involved in signal transduction processes that activate different as smooth muscle contraction, activate other inflammatory cascade, while others are involved in digestive processes of vertebrate intestine lipid processed for subsequent absorption. Some organisms such as poisonous snakes (Viperidae family) present adaptations and modifications of enzymes derived from salivary glands, where they produce digestive PLA2 homologous to those produced in the pancreas that are released in the intestines of mammals vertebrates. Unlike mammals, snake PLA2 are injected into pre-dams as digestive agents swift action or are injected into potential aggressors as a defense.
