This work exposes the main difference between reconstructive plastic surgery and esthetic plastic surgery. Also, this research shows how advancements in technology has helped improved these types of surgical procedures which are now safer and better quality. It was important to study the history of reconstructive plastic surgery. Understanding how it came about and how many people nowadays turn to these types of procedures hoping to restore the functioning of the body part that was affected and improve their physical image as well as boost their self-esteem. This research displays which are the main psychological effects that people in need of reconstructive plastic surgery go through. Also, understand their perception on these procedures and their level of consciousness they have regarding these procedures. This will show the analysis of internal and external market for reconstructive plastic surgery.
