Initially, the polymeric material was obtained following standardized methodologies in the research laboratory in physical chemistry at Icesi University, starting with a chemical process of protonation using acid medium. Then, dialysis and lyophilization methodologies were performed to purify the bulk solution. Subsequently, one analytical technique was developed by ultraviolet spectroscopy to quantify ampicillin at study conditions. Furthermore, three methodologies for the aqueous liquid phases saturation were evaluated and standardized, by ampicillin trihydrate, aimed to obtain the intrinsic solubility values of the studied drug. Finally, the effect of the obtained polymeric material on the ampicillin trihydrate intrinsic solubility was tested in absence and presence of the polymeric material. Significant differences were found when such material is present in the solution phase of the drug. %K Facultad de Ciencias Naturales %K Producción intelectual registrada - Universidad Icesi %K Química Farmacéutica %K Estudios de solubilidad %K Sistemas poliméricos %K Ampicilina trihidratada %K Eudragit® E-100 %K Ampicillin Trihydrate %K Solubility studies %K Polymeric Systems %~ GOEDOC, SUB GOETTINGEN
