%X Globalization determine the challenges to the software industry in Colombia, generating growth opportunities in terms of access to new markets, but requiring improvement of productivity and competitiveness, reflected in the products and services they offer to build trust and fairness in the market. We found that the industry is aware of the good results once accurate processes are initiated to improve processes within organizations, this results can be seen more and more as organizations and government showed interest in promoting such practices , a specific outcome to this is an increase of Colombian software companies which are worth CMMI.DEV level 5, ISO 9001 and as the state has supported projects through SENA and FEDESOFT to train about a thousand professionals in the software sector in international practices TSP (Team Software Process) / PSP (Personal Software Process) factor that will allow the Colombian software industry to be highly competitive internationally. Some of the difficulties that small organizations or VSE's (Very Small Entities) of the software industry expressed, in studies conducted by ISO, is that the standards currently available do not suit their contexts and considering that the Colombian software industry is about 92% SMEs, is of great value to this, the social impact it generates, to implement best practices based on formal standards. Due to the above statement, ISO proposed the standard form 29110 for the life cycle of software development, which adapts to contexts of VSE's (Very Small Entities) and thus the Colombian software industry, but for being a compliance standard this standard defines "what" should be done and not "how". For the case study on which this paper focuses, is covering "as" for line Project Management as a framework fundamental to the success of software projects.
