We describe two patients bitten by B. punctatus, whose most relevant clinical feature was the development of a severe coagulopathy with few local manifestations (mild edema without signs of necrosis) at the site of the bite. Patients quickly improved their clinical and laboratory abnormalities after polyvalent antivenom application. %K Poisoning %K Medical sciences %K Ciencias socio biomédicas %K Envenenamiento %K Bothrops %~ GOEDOC, SUB GOETTINGEN
