AB  - The sheer pace of technological advances implies and demands for various companies need to be updated. Some of it based its competitive edge in technological developments and innovations why the life cycle of technology shortens. This case discusses in detail the growing trend of outsourcing organizational technology which is applied by many companies today. We begin with an analysis of the current situation (before outsourcing) a Colombian company, here are identified structural problems in service delivery which significantly affect the operations of the entire company. An analysis of scenarios of possible solutions, 3 documents are constructed RFP (Request for Proposals) and specialized companies are invited to participate in the selection process, identify advantages, disadvantages, risks involved and cost analysis is then define which of these scenarios would be appropriate to be implemented in the company. Having identified the outsourcing option is compatible and aligned with the strategic objectives of the company begins the process of implementation and commissioning of services, here defined a set of recommendations aimed at mitigating the risk in similar processes within other companies. Subsequently it is the subject of evaluation and management services implemented which can be seen as a process of continuous improvement. Finally we analyze the current situation of the company where you can identify and confirm that the outsourcing of services have been successful, giving the company a high level of availability, short time of adoption of new technologies, there is no need for large economic investments (Capex) allowing the technology department to focus on more strategic projects supporting the value chain of the company.
