AB  - The design of methodologies for Process Management
requires carrying out a research work which takes into
consideration the general concepts and tools concerned
with process evaluation, improvement and control,
to integrate by means of a system approach, day to
day management with institutional strategies. This
paper is aimed to show the stages and the main tools
of a methodology for process quality management in
higher education institutions, as well as its application
in a process improvement at a Colombian official
university using management and statistical tools and
the process management plan. As a main result, process
effectiveness was raised and actions for continuous
process improvement were proposed.
