AB  - The objective of this document is to analyze the demand for higher education and its determinants in Colombia. For this purpose, robust discreet choice models are used to correct the selection sample bias; this is the unobserved heterogeneity of the students that graduate from high school, which is also correlated with the decision of demanding higher education. The results show the correction of the selection sample bias and that the probability of demanding higher education in Colombia is conditioned by the characteristics of certain social groups.
