AB  - The English Learning Center (EL Center) is a place at Icesi University that offers an autonomous active learning space, created to support students learning process and to strengthen student¿s communicative competences in English, through autonomous learning strategies. The different activities done at the EL Center go hand-to-hand with the Active learning educational model proposed by the university, a model similar to the flipped classroom approach; an evolving tendency having the advantage of increasing interaction in class time, helping students to achieve an improved understanding of the class concepts (Enfield, 2013; Kellogg, 2009).
