From this one, a newtechnique is proposed to detect flaws in composite thinlayers, under evaluation by a Pulsed Active Thermographyexperiment. The discrete model defined is easily adaptableto a spatial filter structure, which can be applied tothe infrared sequence of images acquired from thatthermography experiment, to obtain a better contrastbetween possible internal flaws and sound regions ofmaterial. The performance of the technique proposed isevaluated using artificial thermal sequences generated byThermoCalc6L, software that is able to compute dynamicthermal distributions in anisotropic layered solids,simulating defects and different excitation sets.
