For entities that provide loans in the financial or solidarity sector, it is important to make an assessment of its internal credit management process in order to reduce losses, optimize time and mitigate risk. It is evident that FEDE – Icesi fund needs to make an evaluation of this process and with the use of appropriate tools will get improvement suggestions. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the credit management in the FEDE – Icesi fund. First, a description of the lending process in the employee funds of Colombia is shown and then, based on this, an analysis of the credit management in the FEDE- Icesi fund is given. Subsequently it provides the support for the documentation of this process, and a proposal of a tool that helps the committee to make the analysis of quantitative variables for the decision making in each credit request. Finally this document gives a proposal of a communication strategy to enable the associated (partner) for an updated and timely information.
