Ítem Guia para la optimización del proceso de compra del departamento de mantenimiento occidente de la gerencia de poliductos de la vicepresidencia de transporte de Ecopetrol S.A(Universidad Icesi, 2011-04-01) Sánchez Perdomo, Antonio; López Astudillo, Andrés; AsesorIn this Project, the aspects that are impacting the economic and administrative management of the Department of Mantenimiento Occidente de la Gerencia de Poliducto de la Vicepresidencia de transporte de Ecopetrol S.A. were reviewed. The maintenance management requires inputs to their activities: When there is no opportunity in the supply, a reprocessing is generated affecting the reliability of the operation, creating cost overruns to the processes of maintenance and lost in the implementation of the budget by not making an effective use of the resource. The supply process for Ecopetrol is performed using two informatics tools: ellipse and SAP; It is common to hear that two tool must be defined; however, the documents of the academic community can demonstrate how the integration of information systems is a common business dynamic and there are innumerable entities that are responsible for making this type of activity and achieve an effective transfer of transfer of information between systems.Ítem Propuesta de una guía para implementar el proceso de compras de bienes y servicios a través de SAP en el Ingenio Pichichí S.A.(Universidad Icesi, 2011-06-01) Bermúdez Manzano, Martha Cecilia; López Astudillo, Andrés; AsesorIngenio Pichichí S.A. decided to implement SAP6 platform as their ERP7 18 months ago, after proving a successful implementation in several other sugar mills in Valle del Cauca of said platform, with the interest of achieving efficiency, effectiveness, profitability and service benefits. One of the critical processes within the organization is logistics management, with SAP’s implementation it is expected for this process to integrate with other company processes and that the competitive advantages that it provides, may be beneficial to the company in terms of user service efficiency increase. Despite SAP’s MM8 module implementation, both the structure as well as the logistics department continued to execute manual and slow processes like it was done with the prior system. Through a benchmarking9 process weaknesses from the prior model were identified and through the guide provided by this dissertation, a restructuring of the logistics department is proposed, taking advantage of SAP’s MM module, with the objective of leveling it with its regional competitors and to bring it at the forefront in said department’s management thanks to information systems. It also seeks to increase the timeliness of communication with suppliers and supply effectiveness. The guide consists of 5 points, which will allow adequate use of SAP. The points are: redefinition of the logistics department with a definition of highly specialized positions; establishment of controls or strategies for approving requisitions allowing visibility and reliability for decision making regarding purchases, creation of purchasing, creation of purchasing groups10 in SAP to achieve efficiency in service provided to internal customers; goods, services and supplier data base updating to rationalize the amount, streamline decision making and reduce inventories; and finally, the establishment in SAP platform of a planning materials system that will speed up the procurement process of high turnover goods.
