Abstract
This study aims to conduct a comprehensive valuation of the National Energy Industry Workers’ Union Amazonas Branch, with the purpose of understanding its internal financial structure, operational performance, and capacity for value generation within the Colombian energy context. The analysis begins with a strategic assessment using the PESTEL and DOFA frameworks to identify the external and internal factors that influence the organization’s long - term sustainability. Subsequently, a financial analysis is carried out based on the 2016 – 2024 accounting statements, applying vertical, horizontal, and financial ratio analyses to evaluate trends in liquidity, leverage, and profitability over time. This is followed by a five - year income projection (2025 – 2029) using Linear Regression and ARIMA statistical models, aimed at estimating potential growth paths and associated risk scenarios. Next, a valuation through comparable multiples is performed using the EV/EBIT and EV/Sales indicators. Finally, the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) is calculated, adapting the methodology to UTEN’s union - based structure, which does not seek to maximize net profit but rather to ensure organizational sustainability and the provision of essential services to the community.
