However, these companies show often a strong endurance for the new technologies’ adoption in their operations. The present paper of the Digital Business Strategy Magister aims to analyze and understand the reasons behind this endurance and to propose strategies to overcome it. This investigation is based on the economic barriers, the lack of awareness and comprehension, the cultural and organizational endurance, as well as the privacy and security concerns that PYMEs face. It seeks to evaluate the impact of this endurance in the company’s performance and competitiveness. This study is relevant due to the importance of all PyMEs in the global economy and its potential to boost the growth and innovation. To understand and address the endurance to the technology adoption in this sector may have a significant impact in its capacity to compete in the nowadays market and to adapt to future challenges.
