El cuerpo en la época de la tecnociencia: una aproximación psicoanalítica

En una época signada por los avances de la tecnociencia y su aplicación acelerada en las prácticas médicas entre otras, es legítimo preguntarse por el devenir del cuerpo y de la subjetividad. Este artículo expone una reflexión sobre los efectos de las nuevas prácticas tecnocientíficas y biomédicas en las representaciones actuales del cuerpo. Con base en algunos trabajos de autores provenientes de las ciencias sociales y de la filosofía, se describen y analizan en particular dos fenómenos contemporáneos: la supresión del cuerpo en la ciencia cibernética ilustrada por el proyecto “transhumanista” y la fragmentación del cuerpo operada por las tecnologías de visualización médica. La teoría psicoanalítica lacaniana sobre el cuerpo se utiliza como el referente principal, con el propósito de articular una línea de pensamiento crítico para interrogar las consecuencias que sobre la subjetividad podrían tener las nuevas corporalidades tecnocientificas.
