The research design was correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional. Specifically, a survey was applied to a non-probabilistic sample of 287Mexican MBA students. The data were analyzed by means of the marker variable method. The resultsindicate that the relationship between job satisfaction and life satisfaction exhibits mild levels of commonmethod variance. This finding casts doubt on the supposed severity of common method variance inself-reported surveys.© 2017 Universidad ICESI.
