Ítem La música y la producción musical para el rapero emergente(Universidad Icesi, 2024-12-19) Cuartas, Santiago; Hernández Herrera, Mario JoséRap, as a component of the Hip Hop movement, has historically been a powerful means of expression for marginalized communities, standing out for its ability to adapt its discourse and aesthetics to diverse musical contexts. However, in the case of emerging Colombian rappers, economic limitations and restricted access to technological and educational resources often hinder their ability to develop a complete and coherent musical proposal aligned with their message. From the original musical elements of rap, the context and artistic practices of some of the emerging rappers from the city of Pereira, and cases of Colombian rappers. This project investigates and applies resources from music and musical production to strengthen the relationship between lyrical discourse and the sound environment in the works of emerging rappers. As part of this project, an EP titled Pa’ donde mire hay montaña was produced, featuring three original compositions. Through this creative process, the artistic possibilities of the rapper were expanded, utilizing both traditional and contemporary tools to construct a coherent dialogue between the voice, music, and cultural context of the author. This work not only highlights the challenges and creative dynamics faced by emerging rappers but also contributes to the development of new practices in music production, enhancing the authenticity and impact of Colombian rap.
