Ítem La capacidad de innovación y su relación con el emprendimiento en las regiones de México(Universidad Icesi, Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas y Económicas, 2015-07-01) Sánchez Tovar, Yesenia; Mendoza Florez, José Esteban; Garcia Fernández, FernandoThe aim of this paper is to construct a typology of regional innovation capacity and its relationship to entrepreneurial behavior in Mexico. Factor analysis methodology was applied to the principal components in order to check the dimensions formed by the integrated regions, and a cluster analysis for the classification of regions. Five regional groupings were obtained from this procedure in terms of innovative behaviour: non-metropolitan region, small industrial regions, industrial region of medium/high technology, metropolitan region with a diversified structure, and advanced industrial agglomeration. It was concluded that the regions with greater innovation capacity are those that promote greater entrepreneurial development.
