    The aim of this project of degree is to raise an offer of improvement to the problem of availability of a specific machine in a producing plant of paper located in Yumbo's industrial city in the Colombian southwest. Since result obtains an optimization of financial resources of the company in view of the saving related with the time spend on stops by preventive and emergency maintenance. The project concludes on the importance of implementing systems of control and follow-up in the maintenance department of manufacturing where the proposed methodology applies.
