(Universidad Icesi, 2023-12-21) Conde, Juan Pablo; Bonilla, Carlos Andrés
This text addresses the evolution of vocal technique in Pop music throughout history, focusing on the significant change experienced in the vocal technique of some emblematic artists. It highlights that Pop is not only a musical genre but also a cultural concept linked to contemporary artistic movements. It mentions that Pop has evolved alongside technology and music consumption forms, especially streaming services. On the other hand, the role of vocal technique in artists like John Lennon, Michael Jackson, and Christina Aguilera is also emphasized, analyzing aspects such as the use of nasal resonators or head voice. Subsequently, it will extend with a brief explanation of how the phonogram was concretized step by step, aiming to create 3 unreleased songs that incorporate vocal technique resources. For this, some important processes such as composition, recording, and editing were carried out. The division between theoretical framework and methodology is ultimately linked in a certain way, since they complement each other by using the analyzed concepts.
