Given the price differences between EUAs and CERs, financial and industrial operators could profit from arbitrage strategies by buying CERs and selling EUAs or vice versa. In addition, applied the tools acquired during the master's degree to evaluate the possibility of execution of the project supported in the financial aspects and in case they are not, will raise the tools to be able to achieve optimum conditions and build the plant in CA.Ítem Precision Long-Chain Branched Polyethylene via Acyclic Diene Metathesis Polymerization(American Chemical Society -, 2015-10-21) Li, HongA series of polyethylenes containing 21-carbon alkyl branches have been synthesized by acyclic diene metathesis (ADMET) polymerization. These 21-carbon alkyl branches are precisely placed on every 15th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, and 39th carbon along the polymer backbone. Precision of primary structures of all polymers is verified by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. All polymers present well-defined melting profiles, even at a high branch incorporation (13.3% mol). The melting temperature increases as the branch frequency decreases, similar to what we observed for short-chain branched polyethylenes. These observations together with a good linear relationship derived from Flory's theory suggest the exclusion of 21-carbon side chains from polyethylene crystal units.Ítem Propuesta para la estimación del balance del carbono y su gestión por parte de la Universidad Icesi(Universidad Icesi, 2022-12-06) Ortiz Libreros, Juan Manuel; Pinzón León, Oscar Eduardo; Ortegón, Katherine; Pizano, CamilaCon el fin de establecer un balance entre las emisiones de carbono y la capacidad de almacenamiento de este compuesto por parte de Icesi, se recurrió al “Protocolo Global para el Inventarios de Emisión de GEI a Escala Comunitaria” (estimación emisiones) y al “Protocolo para la estimación nacional y subnacional de biomasa-carbono en colombia” (estmación de captura de carbono). Como medio para procesar la información, se diseño una herrrameinta en Excel que permitió transformar los datos disponibles respecto la cobertura vegetal y las fuentes de emisión asociadas a la universidad Icesi. El proceso de estimación de emisiones tuvo en cuenta 3 alcances (considerando fuentes de emisión directas e indirectas), su posterior cuantificación se realizó con datos del periodo académico 2022-1, obteniendo una emisión total de 1214,63 tCO2eq. En cuanto a la capacidad de captura de carbono, el resultado del procesamiento de los datos arrojó que, entre las sedes de Pance y Zygia se pueden fijar aproximadamente 4613,08 tCO2eq. El contraste entre las emisiones y la captura permitió establecer que, al menos durante el periodo de tiempo evaluado la universidad obtuvo un balance positivo (se capturó más carbono del que se emitió). A partir de esto se generaron propuestas encaminadas a la generación de información desde el componente de captura de carbono y una serie de recomendaciones para dar gestión a las emisiones de la institución.
