It is considered that in 2020 will be the third leading cause of death and the fifth leading cause of disability. The aim of this work is to build a methodology where the actions of the primary level can reduce the costs of higher levels, this disease affects both men and women over 6 40 years who are also chronic smokers as well as a group of patients at risk of the inhalation of smoke and chemicals that produce the same effects. Analyzed the data it is found the high costs incurred by the Company Health Promotion especially in the intensive care unit, hospitalization, disability and physical therapies. The major findings are that having a decisive program in the first operative level aimed to the education and to give support to the user and his family, will impact on the general welfare but also will decrease the costs of higher levels, given by the impact that causes a personalized attention to these patients. Today by the intervention of focused risks aimed to achieve the welfare of the target population will offset cost overruns caused as a result of the low culture of self-care users of the health plans have. The increased life expectancy of Colombians will cause that the chronicity of this disease continue causing economic imbalance on the actors of the social security system in health of Colombia and worldwide.Ítem Interoperabilidad de imágenes digitales odontológicas usando el estándar HL7 en un servicio de tele odontología(Universidad Icesi, 2012-01-01) Abril González, Mauricio Francisco; Jaramillo Mejía, Marta Cecilia; AsesorEl desarrollo del presente trabajo es un aporte a la evolución de la informática Dental ID y a la Tele Odontología; a través del uso del estándar internacional de informática en salud HL7, se definió una guía de implementación para la integración de un sistema de historia clínica odontológico, con las imágenes digitales diagnósticas odontológicas. Su uso e implementación beneficia en primer lugar al paciente cuando se requiere conocer las imágenes previas de sus exámenes odontológicos, al prestador debido a que es más eficiente en su gestión de información, al asegurador debido a que puede mejorar su gestión de costos y gastos; y para el profesional de odontología representa una herramienta más ágil para apoyarse en la toma de decisiones de diagnóstico y tratamiento de sus pacientes. Se desarrolló y validó una guía para la implementación de reportes de imágenes digitales odontológicas usando el estándar HL7, para la interoperabilidad de las imágenes diagnósticas con un sistema de historia clínica electrónica odontológica. Las imágenes diagnósticas digitalizadas con radiología convencional o desde un radiovisógrafo se pueden llevar a formato DICOM; en conjunto con la información del paciente, la guía desarrollada presenta el cómo con todo este conjunto de datos, se puede estandarizar un documento HL7 V3 CDA nivel 2 odontológico, el cual al ser un documento XML puede ser almacenado o desplegado en diferentes tipos de dispositivos como computadores personales o dispositivos móviles.
