Un estudio de casos colombianos(Universidad Icesi, 2009-02-25) Lozano Posso, Melquicedec; Urbano Pulido, DavidThis research focuses on the stage of offspring entry to the family business. To study these factors, the analysis of four detailed Colombian family business cases was done. The results give evidence about the mode, the timing and the motivations, as fundamental factors in the decision of entry to the family business, moreover identifies the main proposals related to the offspring decision to become an employee of the family business. It suggests to the owners of family business and the offspring to examine this entry dimensions inside of the preparation process of the following generations.Ítem La empresa familiar, el protocolo y la sucesión familiar(Universidad Icesi, 2014-07-01) Arenas Cardona, Henry Antonio; Rico Balvín, DanielaThis article approaches the perceptions that family businesses, experts, organizations, and associations of the Valle de Aburrá (Colombia) have about protocol and family succession. It also attempts to demonstrate thatthe family protocol is an important tool for sustainability, continuity and formalization of family businesses.Ítem Pertenencia inicial de descendientes a la empresa familiar(Universidad del Zulia, 2010-01-01) Lozano Posso, MelquicedecIn the context of succession, this Colombian case study examines the first full-time job that de-scendents have in their family's business. Furthermore, it describes the main propositions-satisfaction and commitment-that relate to this first full-time job in the family business. The methodology includes in-depth interviews with descendents from four family business cases; the information was later submitted to qualitative analysis, based on the triangulation concept and the resources and ca-pacities theory. Results of the study highlight satisfaction and commitment as two components of the initial membership; likewise, items that constitute each of these components were determined, thereby extending, conceptually, the panorama related to the continuity of family businesses. In conclusion, this study shows that the propensity to experience more satisfaction and commitment with the first full-time job is quite related to the type of environment the descendants perceive and the possibility of satisfying their motivations.Ítem Relevant factors in the process of socialization, involvement and belonging of descendants in family Businesses(Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 2017-01-01) Lozano Posso, MelquicedecEsta investigación busca identificar los factores que se involucran en el proceso de socialización, vinculación y pertenencia inicial de descendientes en empresas familiares, así como los vínculos entre dichos factores.
