This paper focuses on some of the factors that have been emphatically associated with the field of study of diversification and results over the past five years. It essentially stresses the importance of the environment in the country of origin, and the previous profitability and organizational capabilities of a company. It does not only provide a discussion of these main ideas and their impact on the area, but also addresses their importance to strategic diversification managers and researchers.
