Ítem Diseño de información como herramienta de evaluación y generación de interacciones(Universidad Icesi, 2012-07-01) Arango, Juan José; Parga, Manuel Humberto; Vargas, Mauricio HernandoFor visualizing complex and multidimensional information, the idea is to create and evaluate an informatics tool, designed to ease the exploration, analysis and collective understanding of a given subject. This concept will help in the solution of design problems by facilitating collaborative work, sharing of representations, interactive explanations, shareholder’s information updates and tracking system changes and actions as an interactive timeline. From the elaboration of a framework for the visualization of complex and multidimensional information, the aim is to create and evaluate an informatics tool, designed to ease the exploration, analysis and collective understanding of a given subject, which will help in the solution of design problems in such subject. The framework aims to ease the collaborative work, having as a premise the possibility of sharing representations, translate points of views in different stakeholders, argument explanations, update conclusions that arises from changes in the system and register decisions or actions taken in a specific time.Ítem Herramienta de evaluación y generación de interacciones en el uso de bibliotecas(Universidad Icesi, 2012-07-01) Vargas, Mauricio Hernando; Arango, Juan José; Parga, Manuel HumbertoThe principal aim here described, is to help understand how Information Design can be used as a tool for decision making in the Interaction Design processes. This is a subject of particular interest for the Industrial Design Program of the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, specifically with regards to the implementation of strategies to access the University’s library volumes. This tool helps to make qualitative analyses and usage of information from points of view traditionally not taken into consideration in productivity reports. Thus, allowing faculty to better understand student’s contexts and motivations in which information is accessed (as well as, when and why). This information can give faculty the tool and ability to make specific changes and provide incentives to promote Library usage.
