Magnetrón SA is a family company founded in 1971 in the department of Risaralda, which is engaged in the manufacture of transformers, oil immersed conventional monophasic type, class 15 KV and 35 KV, submersible pedestal type transformers and dry type H open type. The company, since its inception committed to the welfare of their region and employment generation has not always had an easy road, but has managed to overcome adversity with perseverance and optimism. After facing a major crisis for 3 years that led to the verge of disappearance, Magnetron emerged victorious and became the workplace of more than 650 people. To date, the company exports half of its production to countries in Central and South America, is a leader in the Colombian market with a share of 65% of total sales and has been awarded several times for its commitment to the region.

By studying of the crisis of one of the most important textile companies in Colombia's history, is to analyze what factors may lead a company to its closure, and what are all the implications that can bring a mismanagement of resources, the welfare of workers and the economic situation that crosses the country. Because of the general crisis of the economy in the 90s, the difficulties of the textile industry, the stormy relations between workers and managers, and the powerful trade union immunity, the flagship company of the coffee region of the country and of the best known textile companies in Colombia, the Producer manufactures knitwear and fabrics UNICA SA, suffered an irreparable crisis that lasted over 10 years, which led to its closure, the November 28, 2001, after seven decades making history in Colombia, closed its doors the first Colombian company to make fabric exports to the United States and, at its best time had more than 1700 employees.

En el presente caso, se narra la historia de una de las organizaciones más sobresalientes de la economía vallecaucana, la cual por más de 30 años fue un actor protagónico del sector de la construcción, aportando innovadoras prácticas empresariales. El contexto de la compañía cambió radicalmente a través de su historia, mezclándose la apertura económica, con crisis políticas y recesiones y narcotráfico. Indudablemente el involucramiento de sus directivos durante el proceso 8000, en contra del gobierno del presidente Ernesto Samper, afectó los resultados de la empresa e incluso tuvo impacto en su crisis final y disolución.

Stampex might have entered the malls with a line extension and perhaps the franchise had allowed a repositioning of the Brand but this did not happen.

Innovación ambiental- INNOVA S.A.S. E.S.P. fue creada en Yumbo (Valle del Cauca) con el fin de desarrollar y operar soluciones tecnológicas enfocadas en procesos de reciclaje, valorización y tratamiento de residuos peligrosos. Su ventaja competitiva se encuentra en el proceso de desmercurización de residuos peligrosos, impidiendo generar pasivos ambientales y protegiendo los recursos fluviales de la región. Favorecida por los avances reglamentarios que sobre la materia han desarrollado las entidades gubernamentales y por las iniciativas privadas como el programa Lúmina, INNOVA funciona como el único operador encargado del almacenamiento (en el suroccidente colombiano), de tratamiento y disposición final de los residuos provenientes de dispositivos de iluminación. Dadas las barreras a la entrada de competidores a causa del costo de los equipos, el conocimiento técnico y normativo necesario y la innovación en procesos, la empresa cuenta con un futuro muy prometedor y rentable. Adicionalmente, pretende ampliar la capacidad de tratamiento creando sucursales en otras ciudades de Colombia y expandirse a otros países vecinos.
