Modelo para la evaluación en seguridad informática a productos software, basado en el estándar ISO/IEC 15408 common criteria
(Universidad Icesi, 2011-10-01) Chamorro López, José Alejandro; Pino Correa, Francisco José
This article presents a model that enables software developers to evaluate their products under the ISO / IEC 15408 Common Criteria, starting with a risk analysis to several companies in Colombia, selected by the obligations to comply in the level of security law information, with an unfavorable outcome that demonstrate the need to implement the standard. From these results we developed a model, which achieves software conceptualized in a TOE (Target of evaluation) which corresponds to an ICT (Information and Communications), and evaluated according to a ST (Secure Target) Common Criteria portal officer, under the functions and required levels in order to identify shortcomings in compliance and safety recommendations for improvement.

This article shows the application of a new rehabilitation model under the community-based rehabilitation model (rehabilitation CBR approach) developed in 2010 and applied at the following locations: Hospital Local de Candelaria, Hospital San Roque and Hospital Benjamín Barney Gasca, located respectively in the municipalities of Candelaria, Florida and Pradera (Valle del Cauca, Colombia), geographic area with big presence of vulnerable population. As fundamental aspect referred to model of rehabilitation to develop an adaptation with focus on RBC will be implemented through the use of Information Technology and Communications (ICT). Its new scenario of Telehealth integrated communications, care and education training.

Impact of lean tools on energy consumption
(Universidad Icesi, 2011-10-01) Kuriger, Glenn; Gogula, Vikram; Hun-Da, Wan
Lean principles are mainly used for increasing productivity, reducing lead time, and eliminating waste. Energy impacts can also be assessed by using the lean principles. The objective of this paper is to measure the impact of Lean Manufacturing tools on energy consumption, with the base assumption that they should help decrease it. The methodology assesses and documents the energy utilization as a part of VSM. A pilot application in an industrial setting is presented.

Analysis of coexistence and mutual interference between mobile and digital television systems
(Universidad Icesi, 2011-10-01) Guiducci, Doriana; Grazioso, Paolo; Barbiroli, Marina; Carciofi, Claudia; Riva, Guido; Guidotti, Alessandro
The ever increasing demand for multimedia wireless communication systems is a key feature of more advanced markets. The buzzwords of personal communications, meant to provide “access to anyone, anywhere, at anytime to the wanted service”, implies that radio spectrum demands are dramatically increasing in most developed markets. The last World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-07) allocated on a co-primary basis the upper part of the UHF band to mobile services as from 2015 in Region 1, taking advantage of the Digital Dividend due to the higher spectrum efficiency of digital TV with respect to the analogue system. This will cause potentially harmful mutual interference between TV and mobile radio services, that needs to be carefully analysed. In this paper we present a study of the co-channel interference problem, proposing a methodology to take into account the mutual interference between a LTE mobile network and a DVB-T system and highlighting the different behaviour of the two radio links.
