Difficulties and challenges in the incorporation of architectural practices.
(2016-07-01) Pérez, Flor de Maria Hernández; Algeria, Julio Ariel Hurtado
The architecture software has become a key asset for software organizations because it facilitates achieving quality goals and developing of easy evolvable products. However, in small organizations, software architecture is usually a vague idea about the structure of solution. In this paper, a case of applying several me-thods of architecture (QAW, ADD and VaB) with small teams constituted by software developers, during a course of software development, is presented. Some difficulties to trace and correctly document the rationale associated with quality attributes, tactics architectural and selected patterns, were identified. It was established the difficulty of following an architectural process and to letconsistent evidence about that, especially when the same specification generates conflict between the established attributes and tactics and patterns that going establishing.

    Text segmentation by language
(Facultad de Ingeniería, 2016-07-01) Ruiz, Robin Cabeza
There are two approaches for text segmentation by language: first, assuming that language changes ha-ppen in the “border” between sentences (never within a sentence); second, assuming that language changes can happen anyplace in the text. This work presents methods for both types of text’s segmentation by languages. On the first pro-posal, the text is initially segmented by sentence, then the language of each sentence is obtained; the second proposal is an adaptation of hidden Markov model to this task. Both cases, according to results obtained in experimental proofs, exceed the state of art.

    R. B. Repository: Reference bibliographies repository for Drupal 7
    (2016-07-01) Hurtado, Beatriz Elena Hurtado
This article, a result of a research project, the characteristics and functions of a module developed for managing bibliographic references about the content management system Drupal Version 7 are exposed. It integrates several functions that allows to host the information in a repository, of both bibliographic and users, and includes a function based on the Scopus API to obtain in a semiautomatically way metadata from publications, which simplifies and streamlines the information introduction and extraction. Acquiring metadata from publications would have a semiautomatic component which would reduce the amount of information that should be entered manually.

Video on demand service based on inference emotions user

Exact solution and high frequency asymptotic methods in the wedge diffraction problem
    (2016-07-01) Triana, Hernan G.
Abstract The Sommerfeld exact solution for canonical 2D wedge diffraction problem with perfectly conducting surfaces is presented. From the integral formulation of the problem, the Malyuzhinets solution is obtained and this result is extended to obtain the general impedance solution of canonical 2D wedge problem. Keller’s asymptotic solution is developed and the general formulation of exact solution it’s used to obtain general asymptotic methods for approximate solutions useful from the computational point of view. A simulation tool is used to compare numerical calculations of exact and asymptotic solutions. The numerical simulation of exact solution is compared to numerical simulation of an asymptoticmethod, and a satisfactory agreement found.  Accuracy dependence with frequency is verified.
