Evolución y tendencias investigativas en autoeficacia emprendedora: un análisis bibliométrico
(Universidad Icesi, 2019-04-01) Valencia Arias, Jhoany Alejandro
Considering the importance of self-efficacy as a motivational factor for entrepreneurship, a bibliometric analysis was carried out in order to establish the evolution and trends in research on the subject. For this purpose, a search equation was applied to the Scopus database, which allowed the identification of 206 publications, and indicators of productivity, quality, and structure were extracted from them. It was found that the journal with the greatest impact on the field is Journal of Applied Psychology with 644 citations; that gender, education, innovation, and entrepreneurial intention are the factors with which self-efficacy has been associated the most and that an important part of the research is carried out with university students.

Desempeño empresarial y ciclo económico en la industria de alimentos y bebidas colombiana: una aproximación no paramétrica
(Universidad Icesi, 2019-04-01) Simon Elorz, Katrin
Abstract In recent years, the emerging countries are presenting rates of growth and business performance above the average with respect to the developed countries. In Colombia, the food and beverages sector, in particular, is one of those that is generating business opportunities, derived from its performance rates. The objective of this paper is to analyze how the indicators of performance, financial structure and solvency of the Colombian food and beverage industry have been developed. To this end, a nonparametric analysis of the data is proposed, segmented based on variables such as economic cycle, size, age or geographical location. The results obtained allow us to draw positive conclusions about the resilience of this industry by size and region.

El liderazgo transformacional y su influencia en los atributos de los seguidores en las Mipymes mexicanas
(Universidad Icesi, 2019-04-01) Quintero Robles, Liz Margarita
The present investigation seeks to analize and explain the influence that transformational leadership has on the attributes of the followers of the MSMEs of Durango (Mexico). For this, a questionnaire was applied to a sample of leaders and their followers of 360 companies chosen at random. Based on the information collected, 84 linear regression models were constructed, finding statistically significant evidence of the influence of transformational leadership on the attributes of the followers. The laissez faire factor and the one of individualized consideration, are the factors that have greater incidence on the dependent variable. In addition, 6 cases are highlighted where the values of r2 present values of 1,0 reflecting a stronger relationship of the independent variable in the attributes of followers.

(Universidad Icesi, 2019-04-01) Gallardo Vázquez, Dolores Amalia
The objective of this work is the creation of a social responsibility (SR) measurement scale aimed at the university student with a threefold approach: the transversal competences worked in the university field on subjects of SR and ethical behavior, the received training and the participation of the student in activities of this character. An exploratory factorial analysis (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) is carried out on a sample of 284 students of Programs in Business Administration and Management and the existence of 3 factors is determined. It is concluded that the scale designed can help university institutions to implement changes in their curriculums, guiding them toward sustainability, while providing the university with a very useful tool in the decision making that affect student politics.

Bank branches efficiency under management and regulatory constraints
    (Universidad Icesi, 2019-01-01) Schiffrer, Francisco
The main purpose of this paper is to assess the cost-efficiency of Banco Ciudad de Buenos Aires’s bank branches using a Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA). Owing to the results, management can decide on a new branching dimension. Also, if some regulatory or managerial limits could be lifted, such as the closure or opening of new branches without central bank authorization, or redundancy staff reduction, the results could be important for management. We identify best and worst behaved branches. The more cost-efficient branches and the least cost-efficient ones differ in their size and input mix. Nonetheless, they present a similar output mix.

The dual face of corporate social responsibility in social businesses: a closer look at the Colombian reality
(Universidad Icesi, 2019-04-01) Talero Sarmiento, Leonardo Hernán
While the instrumental notion of corporate social responsibility (CSR) focusses on what is strategic, its normative viewpoint indicates what is appropriate. This work examines how social businesses’ (SBs) employees understand the notion of CSR concerning this conceptual tension. In order to do this, a qualitative content analysis supported by text mining techniques is performed in a micro-finance institution in Colombia. Results imply that employees with a high sense of belonging tend to endorse their organizations’ CSR orientation. Also, this work identifies two distinct clusters of SB’s employees based on their notion of CSR: a sizeable instrumental group and a small normative one. This contributes to a better understanding of the CSR field by visualizing the conflict/complementarity of individual perspectives.

Co-creation in conventional and collaborative businesses
(Universidad Icesi, 2019-04-01) Nogueira Pellizzoni, Lívia
This study sought to understand how consumer predisposition to co-creation varies between conventional and collaborative fashion businesses. To this end, an inductive research of quantitative nature was performed through a quasi-experiment in which two scenarios were constructed: collaborative business and conventional business. Data were obtained through a questionnaire that measured the consumer’s perception with regard to dialogue, access, risks and benefits and transparency (DART) following the experiment’s design. Statistical analysis consisted of descriptive, reliability, factorial and means comparison. Data analysis indicated the rejection of some hypotheses. It was concluded that there are differences in the two types of business in terms of their predisposition to co-creation, with conventional businesses exhibiting a greater predisposition to co-creation than collaborative businesses.
