“Quítate de mi escalera, no me hagás oscuridad”: imágenes de lo “negro” en la antropología colombiana 1930-1970.

Este artículo de reflexión propone hacer una excavación arqueológica de cinco décadas (1930-1970) en la historia de la disciplina antropológica en Colombia para exponer de forma exploratoria las diferentes miradas etnográficas sobre ese “otro-negro”. Esta investigación se realizó a través de la arqueología histórica contrapúntal, una propuesta teórico-metodológica que implica poner en debate dos o más perspectivas interpretativas, formas de mirar, traducir y representar, que se disputan el archivo, el locus de enunciación y los sentidos de una misma categoría. A este respecto, se hace un recorrido por las narrativas, traducciones y representaciones que produjo la antropología colombiana sobre ese “otro-negro”, profundizando en la obra La minería del hambre: Condoto y la Chocó Pacífico (1971) del antropólogo caribeño Aquiles Escalante. Así, se demostrará el régimen de verdad, los criterios de jerarquización, exclusión y valoración colonial y racista que operan al interior del campo antropológico colombiano en sus horizontes indisolubles epistémicos y praxiológicos.

This reflection article proposes to make an archaeological excavation of five decades (1930-1970) in the history of the anthropological discipline in Colombia in order to expose, in an exploratory way, the different ethnographic views on the “other-black”. This research was conducted through the contrapúntal historical archaeology, a theoretical- methodological proposal that involves discussing two or more interpretative perspectives, ways of looking, translating and representing that dispute the file, the locus of enunciation and the senses of the same category. In this regard, the narratives, translations, and representations that produced the Colombian anthropology on that “other-black” are visited, delving into the work of La minería del hambre: Condoto y la Chocó Pacífico (1971) from the Caribbean anthropologist Aquiles Escalante. Thus, it will be demonstrated, the regime of truth, the criteria of hierarchy, exclusion and the colonial and racist valuation that operate within the Colombian anthropological field in its epistemic and praxiological indissoluble horizons.
