Programa ser pilo paga, más allá de los datos

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo la caracterización cualitativa y cuantitativa de los beneficiarios del programa de becas gubernamentales Ser Pilo Paga en la universidad Icesi, programa bandera en educación superior del ex presidente Juan Manuel Santos. El estudio busca dar una voz de los beneficiarios permitiéndoles contar sus historias de vida y opiniones sobre el programa. Se pudo concluir que, a pesar de las fallas estructurales del programa y del álgido debate que surgió en torno de él, ha permitido a sus beneficiarios continuar su educación superior en una universidad de alta calidad a la cual no habrían tenido acceso de ningún modo, cambiándoles de éste modo su vida y su futuro.

The objective of this research is the qualitative and quantitative characterization of the beneficiaries of the Ser Pilo Paga government scholarship program at Icesi University, a banner program in higher education of former President Juan Manuel Santos. The study seeks to give a voice of the beneficiaries allowing them to tell their life stories and opinions about the program. It was possible to conclude that, in spite of the structural flaws of the program and the heated debate that arose around it, it has allowed its beneficiaries to continue their higher education in a high quality university to which they would not have had access in any way, changing them in this way his life and his future
