Abstract
IEEE 802.16-2004 standard supports
mesh networks topology and its important
to realize the performance of
such systems. Simulation of communication
systems allows its optimization
in performance measures. In this
article we present a model developed
over Network Simulator 2 to simulate
data link layer operation in mesh topologies
based on that standard. We
present the results based on a link
scheduler and the model developed,
as the mean queue length, mean
queue delay and the system capacity
for different topologies.
Description
El estándar IEEE 802.16-2004 soporta
la creación de redes mesh. La simulación de
sistemas de comunicación permite su optimización, sobre todo para la mejora de los parámetros de desempeño. En este artículo se presenta un modelo desarrollado e implementado en NS2 para la simulación
de la capa de enlace de datos para topologías mesh basadas en el estándar mencionado. Se muestran resultados obtenidos con un planificador de enlace, así como longitudes promedio de las colas, retardo
en cola, capacidad del sistema para diferentes topologías.
