La migración Japonesa en el Valle del Cauca.Una perspectiva regional

This article offers a brief overview of the historic process of the Japanese migration to the Valle del Cauca, using as its transversal analytic axis the concept of region based on a relational perspective, namely, thinking of region as exchanges. Hence, the key objective of this paper is to identify a particular way, in which the Japanese migration played an important part in the construction of Valle del Cauca, following the dynamics of affiliation of the settlers with this region. The main thesis of this article is that the Japanese settlers had experienced a changing integration process in the region, as they were introduced into different projects of regional construction in a successful way.
