The Information Systems Unit (USI) is part of the corporate services area of the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture ( CIAT ) and provide technical support to the research scientist, their supporting groups and the administrative areas, it also supports research and administrative processes offering high-level solutions. The information systems unit is committed to aligning its internal strategy with the central strategies of the organization by creating channels in which all the areas to understand the importance of the information technologies and the costs associated with these services, supporting projects, anticipating customer needs and offering services and solutions that help to achieve these global goals
