Desempeño del nivel de inglés en Colombia para el período 2011 - 2015

El siguiente documento presenta información sobre el nivel de desempeño en inglés en Colombia para el período 2011-2015, tras la implementación del Programa de Fortalecimiento al Desarrollo de Competencias en Lenguas Extranjeras (PFDCLE), ejecutado por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional (MEN). Se realizó un análisis descriptivo del nivel de desempeño en inglés, a partir de las bases de datos proporcionadas por el Instituto Colombiano para la Evaluación de la Educación (ICFES), con el objetivo de analizar si la meta establecida por el PFDCLE de que el 30% de los estudiantes de grado 11 del país, obtuvieran un nivel de desempeño Pre intermedio I (B1) en inglés durante el período 2011-2015. La investigación halló la existencia de una brecha de 30.4 puntos porcentuales entre la meta establecida por el Gobierno Nacional y el nivel de desempeño registrado para el año 2015, reflejando la poca efectividad de las estrategias implementadas por el PFDCLE.

The following document presents information on the level of performance in English in Colombia for the period 2011-2015, following the implementation of the Program for Strengthening the Development of Foreign Language Skills (PFDCLE), implemented by the National Ministery of Education (MEN). A descriptive analysis of the level of performance in English was carried out, based on the data provided by the Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (ICFES), in order to analyze whether the goal established by the PFDCLE that 30 % Of grade 11 students in the country had an Intermediate I (B1) performance level in English during the period 2011-2015. The research found a gap of 30.4 percentage points between the goal established by the National Government and the level of performance registered for 2015, reflecting the lack of effectiveness of the strategies implemented by the PFDCLE.
