Perceptions of the educational community about english teaching and learning in contrast with Saber 11° english test results (2019-2021) in Jamundi city.

Since 2004, The Colombian Government has wanted to implement plans in order to improve the teaching and learning English as foreign language in our country. This proposal of the Government looks for being more competitive in a commercial and cultural global world. The objective of this research is to contrast the perceptions of students, teachers and administrators with English teaching and learning processes in comparison to the results of English test from 2019 to 2021 applied by ICFES. The objective to do this analysis is not to give solutions or to say what is good or not. It is to contrast the desires and perceptions of all the participants through qualitative analysis and the quantitative data taken from the standard mandatory evaluation.
