El fenómeno de la deserción escolar en un contexto local. Estudio de caso Institución Educativa Isaías Gamboa

El trabajo de investigación analiza el problema de la deserción estudiantil en la Institución Educativa Institución Educativa Isaías Gamboa de la ciudad de Cali, a través del estudio de los factores internos, externos y del análisis del desarrollo de los procesos educativos como causantes del retiro escolar. Para esto, se realiza un estudio exploratorio, utilizando el análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de la comunidad educativa relacionada con este fenómeno educativo y mostrando un especial interés por el ser humano. Particularmente, se identifica una tendencia de retiro escolar con diversidad de variables en un periodo de tiempo específico dentro del marco temporal seleccionado. Los resultados de esta investigación señalan que los niños y los jóvenes se retiran de la Institución por movilidad o desplazamiento intraurbano, problemas de convivencia, fallas en la función administrativa de la institución y otras problemáticas socio-culturales. Se sugieren estrategias encaminadas a disminuir el riesgo de desertar o abandonar la permanencia en el sistema.

This report analyzes the determinants of the student desertion in the Educative Institution Isaias Gamboa from Cali city, throughout the study of internal and external factors and the analysis of the development of the educative processes like causes of the scholastic retirement. Directed strategies are also suggested to diminish the risk of deserting. For this an exploratory study is realized using the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the educative community related with this educative phenomenon and showing a special interest by the human being. Particularly, a tendency of scholastic retirement with diversity of variables in a period of specific time within the selected temporary frame is identified. The results of this investigation indicate that the children and the young people retire of the Institution by mobility or intra-urban displacement, problems of coexistence, faults in the administrative function of the institution and others social and cultural problematics.
