La teoría económica de la guerra

El presente documento tiene como objetivo discutir acerca de la teoría política de la guerra planteada por el economista Arthur C. Pigou. Para ello se empleó, además del libro The Political Economics of War, documentos de otros autores que han dado su opinión acerca del tema. A partir de la discusión creada, se concluyó que los cambios que realizan los Estados en contextos de guerra consideran múltiples variables no observadas; que la guerra jamás se alejó tanto como suele pensarse; que la coyuntura global actual arroja visos de la teoría económica de la guerra.

The following document discusses the political theory of war developed by the economist Arthur C. Pigou. For this purpose, in addition to the book “The Political Economics of War”, I reviewed some papers from different authors that contributed to the topic. Three main findings were obtained from this analysis; first, that changes made by governments in contexts of war contemplate multiple variables that are not observed; second, that the war is a persistent threat for the contemporary world; and finally, that the current worldwide circumstances show what the economic theory of war predicts.
