Ítem Proceso creativo en la construcción de un fonograma destacando la identidad musical(Universidad Icesi, 2024-12-17) Chávez López, Alison V.; Porras, MauricioThis research-creation project explores musical identity within the Afrobeat genre through the composition of phonograms that incorporate the sounds of the marimba de chonta and charango, preserving their characteristic rhythms. The production of composer Lido Pimienta served as a creative reference, providing insights into structures, forms, and essential aspects of musical creation. With the goal of showcasing the connection between traditional elements of the Andean and Pacific regions of Colombia and contemporary production techniques, qualitative and musical analysis methodologies were employed. The compositions present an approach to cultural integration without fusion, maintaining the essence of each instrument within an Afrobeat context. The results reveal an exploration of a distinct musical identity within the genre, achieving a production that respects the cultural and sonic roots of the traditions involved.
