To this end, it employs one of the newest developments in the field of human resource management as a theoretical framework, namely, competency-based management. It is also intended to shed light on the application of these personnel management proposals to organizations in the healthcare system in Valencia. It used a research methodology based on an in-depth review of various cases of both public and private hospitals in the community of Valencia, Spain, in order to create new theoretical constructs in this field.
