Aided by the perspective of succession, as well as by those of resources and capabilities, the study arguments contribute to creating a framework for future research on succession in family businesses, in particular regarding the formation of descendents or regarding later stages, such as the involvement and feeling of ownership that come with the first full-time position.Ítem Pertenencia inicial de descendientes a la empresa familiar(Universidad del Zulia, 2010-01-01) Lozano Posso, MelquicedecIn the context of succession, this Colombian case study examines the first full-time job that de-scendents have in their family's business. In conclusion, this study shows that the propensity to experience more satisfaction and commitment with the first full-time job is quite related to the type of environment the descendants perceive and the possibility of satisfying their motivations.Ítem El modelo IEI, un nuevo concepto en la vinculación de potenciales sucesores a la empresa familiar(Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, 2011-01-01) Lozano Posso, MelquicedecBased on the theory of resources and capacities, which seeks to identify the potential of a business to establish competitive advantages, this article explores a new model of full-time engagement of potential successors for family businesses (FB): the IEI (internal, external, inside) model.
