The cultivation of Tahiti lime in Colombia represents an opportunity to access export markets, being the third most exported fruit and vegetable product by 2023. In the area of Valle del Cauca and Valle del Patía, in the department of Cauca, this crop faces challenges due to fluctuating market prices, agricultural inputs and the efficient use of natural resources. This study analyzes sustainable management practices implemented by 15 microentrepreneurs in the region. The results highlight the adoption of biofertilizers, composting and mulching, practices that optimize soil fertility, moisture retention and biological processes, reducing production costs and financial risks in the medium and long term. A transition path to a sustainable production model is proposed, which also includes integrated pest management and intercropping, increasing biodiversity and productivity. This approach not only benefits the economic and environmental viability of microentrepreneurs, but also constitutes a tool to improve their competitiveness and access to international markets. It is concluded that sustainable management of Tahiti lime cultivation is key to mitigating the effects of climate change and guaranteeing sustainable production.
