Ítem Arquitectura de un Sistema de Monitoreo Radioeléctrico usando Software Defined Radio(Universidad Icesi, 2012-10-01) Arteaga Arce, AdrianaSpectrum monitoring is an essential task to be performed for a country administration to control and monitor its use. Its main components are the monitoring equipment (i.e. spectrum analyzers, antennas and GPS) which are arranged in strategic locations throughout a territory to get information about the characteristics of radio services. There is a special interest to complement this system with simpler and more portable equipment, to get much spectrum information, mainly in areas that cannot be reached through the main monitoring network. An alternative is to use Software Defined Radio (SDR), a technique to build devices that can replace some hardware by software routines, thus reducing costs and size. In industry there are different equipment and programming tools to build flexible devices, easily upgradeable and reconfigurable for specific tasks. Some cases, as physical aggression, this is not enough. The system should be able to provide calm and avoid concerns to the victim, assuring that him/her attacker keeps in a safe distance. This project recognizes advantages and limitations on actual surveillances systems base on GPS; it designs a platform of surveillance and communications combining communication’s technologies in a way where the platform is able to interact with commercial mobile devices at indoor and outdoor scenarios and, the key issue, it’s able to inform the victim and relevant authorities about violations to agreements about distance aggressor-victim. The tests of the system show is a feasible solutions. However, its application requires both, changes in the judicial system about surveillance of the sentenced in home detention (recognizing the main objective is not prevent the fuge, but keep safe the victims), and improving the delay time in time in SMS traffic in ColombiaÍtem Sistema de posicionamiento robótico para captura de señales de ultrasonido en END por el método de inmersión(Universidad Icesi, 2012-10-01) Escobar Arango, Christian C.; Jiménez Gómez, John; Restrepo Girón, Andrés David; Miramag Martínez, Fredy F.Robotic platforms created to place devices or sensors at specific coordinates, are efficient systems for automation of positioning tasks when taking actions on or acquiring signals from an exact point, are needed. In that sense, the methodology of the design and implementation of a mechatronic platform to position an ultrasonic transducer over an inspection grid, in automatically or remote manual way, is described through this article. The reason for robotic positioning of this transducer is to acquire ultrasonic signals coming from a piece which is wanted to be evaluated, containing information form that piece. The designed system is able to ensure a mean uncertainty in the position measurement around 1.1% and 2% on axis X and Y, and to save the digitized ultrasonic signals in an electronic sheet.
