    Transmisión de contenidos 3D sobre televisión digital (DVB)

    During 2019, all transmission of analogical TV signals in Colombia will cease, favoring the new Digital Terrestrial Television [DTT] format. By then is to be expected that operators and audience had fully adopted this new technology, so its advantages and benefits could be fully exploited. After though examination and study, Colombian government has adopted the European standard DVB-T2 (Digital Video Broadcast - Terrestrial V.2), considering it the most capable to satisfy the local requirements and expectations. Several aspects and services of this standard are still being toughly discussed, 3D content broadcast is one of them, so those who possess appropriate devices, could enjoy high definition stereoscopic video, just as it can be seen in a 3D or IMAX movie theater. This paper explores planned or already developed solutions to this challenge. It runs over the available academic and commercial information, as it explains the basic principles and techniques that make this technology possible in the first place.

    Procedimiento para implementar QoS en la capa de acceso en redes de próxima generación enfocado en el servicio de voz

    Currently all services converge into a Next Generation Network and considering that today the requirements about quality of service are more stringent because of the same user requirements, it is necessary to propose a procedure of QoS to ensure an efficient operation of transporting the most critical services and real time; as the voice, ensuring the reduction of latency, jitter, packet loss and Eco. The CRC (Regulatory Commission of Communications) in Colombia applies the provisions of QoS for they can be used by telecommunications operators and they must be conform to the recommendations Y.1540 and Y.1541 ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union). The aim of this paper is to present a procedure for applying QoS mechanisms in NGN network in xDSL access in order to maintain quality of service in Voice over IP (VoIP), which allows economic and technically efficient provision of VoIP for customer and the telecommunications operator.

    The computational tools are developed to help professionals to determine anomalies in different equipment. These tools seek to determine any damage without disassembly for the purpose of optimize processes, in this case the operation of the diagnose high speed dental piece. This article presents the results of the implementation of a computational algorithm for obtaining, from the sounds generated by turbines high speed parts, in what state is this. This is accomplished by capturing the sound of high-speed components in good and bad state, in order to build a database from these sounds, each of these signals are extracted features in different domains to train a neural network, which diagnose the state of the workpiece. With the implementation of this system has been possible to achieve an 81% success rate for the classification of defective pieces.

    When trying to calculate the business-value of an information technology (IT) investment in small businesses, it is hard to imagine how to apply frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman or IT Value Network (Read, 2009), in order to get that value. The following article shows the arising problems when the IT Value Network framework is being applied to a small business in order to determine the IT business-value of a specific IT project: sarLAB.
