Resumen
Corporation Sánchez identified as a priority for 2011 the intent to implement a salary administration methodology that allows internal equity management for its employees. The company´s Administration has observed significant differences in pay for similar positions; this same perception exists in the personal, causing discomfort and a negative effect on organizational climate resulting from an expectation of uniform and fair treatment for all employees. The challenge is to implement a well accepted method to administer the compensation in the organization. After exploring several alternatives, it is decided to use the Hay Group methodology, widely known worldwide. Its application will unveil the relationship between salary – job evaluation, facilitating important inputs for decision making related with increasing, maintaining or capping a salary. Finally, this study addresses the issue of compensation. Furthermore than closing gaps between positions with a pay increase, it proposes elements of compensation that seek to connect the individual incentives with the strategic purposes of the organization. Thus, the proposed methodology is intended as a tool to facilitate the achievement of strategic business objectives.
