Resumen
This article presents a new way to analyze and to present GEM´s results. It´s
called the “Entrepreneurial Pipeline”.
In addition to the conceptual construction, the paper applies it to the analysis of
the data obtained in four Caribbean countries in their 2011 and 2012 GEM national
studies. They are members of the GEM Caribbean project supported by IDRC.
This procedure analyze better the entrepreneurial process, makes easier the presentation
and the understanding of the results, identifies the “leaks”, allows the
formulation of specific policies for each stage.
Description
En este artículo se plantea una forma novedosa de análisis y de presentación de
los resultados generados por el estudio Global Entrepreneurship Monitor–GEM,
denominada “La Tubería Empresarial”.
En adición a su definición conceptual y metodológica se hace una aplicación concreta
a los resultados obtenidos en cuatro países del Caribe, que participaron en los
ciclos 2011 y 2012 del proyecto GEM Caribbean, apoyado por el IDRC de Canadá.
La “Tubería Empresarial” resulta ser un mecanismo que analiza mejor el proceso
empresarial, facilita la comprensión y presentación de los resultados, identifica las
“fugas” empresariales y permite formular políticas específicas para cada etapa.
