Modernización del son sureño

El principal propósito por el cual se realizó este proyecto de grado fue generar propuestas que podrían ser implementadas para modernizar el sonsureño. Por lo tanto, este proyecto se verá respaldado por tres grandes conceptos los cuales nos darán a entender como este género encaja dentro del World Music, todo el contexto musical del género a investigar, y como se podría modernizar con elementos de la música actual. Para esto se llevó a cabo un trabajo de investigación y creación que evidencia como la música puede evolucionar cambiando su organología instrumental, y como la esencia sigue ahí a pesar de los cambios realizados.

The main purpose behind the completion of this undergraduate project was to explore how sonsureño could be modernized. Therefore, this project will be supported by three major concepts that will help us understand how this genre fits within World Music, the entire musical context of the genre under investigation, and how it could be modernized with elements from current music. To achieve this, research and creative work were conducted, which clarified how music can evolve simply by changing its instrumental organization, while still maintaining its essence despite the alterations made.
