Soft systems methodologies are tools that offer many benefits to research and analyze unstructured problems. These tools are attributed many advantages such as: memory, association of concepts and better structured connections, organization of information and knowledge improvement. What is not known is what are the differences between the methodologies and the differences between using or not. The purpose of this paper is to design an experiment to compare the strengths of two of these tools: Mind Maps and Rich Pictures to determine the value generate by the use of them in the learning process of a student compared to traditional method. This may relate and apply these methodologies taking into account the different types of learning in order to get better results.
