    Las alianzas estratégicas como alternativa para el funcionamiento de los servicios de salud en las Empresas Sociales del Estado

    Este artículo es el resultado de uno de los trabajos que se adelantan en el grupo de investigación de Políticas Públicas y Efectos Económicos, Fiscales y sobre Capital Humano en la Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas y Económicas de la Universidad Icesi. Su objetivo fue explorar la experiencia del Hospital San José, de la ciudad de Popayán, en Colombia, en la constitución y operación de la alianza estratégica con la empresa multinacional Renal Therapy Service, subsidiaria de Baxter International Corporation. Mediante esta figura un hospital de carácter oficial, con numerosas deficiencias originadas en su estructura legal y burocrática, en las difíciles relaciones sindicales con sus empleados y en sus limitaciones financieras, logra ofrecer a los pacientes que sufren de deficiencias renales un servicio asistencial fundamental que exige una alta tecnología, y eficiencia en su prestación, para mejorarles la calidad de vida. En la investigación se exploraron las condiciones para que la alianza pudiera realizarse y luego se evaluaron los resultados de su operación, tanto médicos como financieros, en los primeros cinco años de su funcionamiento. Se encontró que sin esta alianza los pacientes de la ciudad de Popayán y vecindades no se hubieran podido beneficiar de este servicio oportunamente y en condiciones de calidad, lo cual hubiera repercutido en el aumento de la morbilidad.     Modelo de servicios de infraestructura de aplicaciones a través de Cloud Computing: Proyecto: "Casa en el aire"

    This project develops an infrastructure as a services supported in Cloud Computing technology. The model wants to fulfill the requirements of Carvajal Tecnología & Servicios customers’. This company is part of Carvajal Group and builds technology solutions and outsourcing processes. A big part of the project rests in the idea of identify the products and services of strategic customers identified by internal project ALIANZA developed in association with McKinsey. A survey was applied to 30 of 95 main customers to determine which services they are willing to pay as long as they meet their needs. Based on these results the type of services to provide was defined and a financial study was developed. Finally, developing this project we try to reach a primary goal covering the customers strategic expectations and allows to be implemented and extended to potential clients in Colombia and other countries where Carvajal Group has presence. It also covers the customer needs and the market demanding to make business with less effort and at low cost.

    Universidad Icesi y Fundación Clínica Valle del Lili: Una alianza profunda para la vida

    This case study presents the strategic alliance between Icesi University and Clinica Valle del Lili Foundation, two prestigious institutions located in the city of Cali, Colombia, both are a great influence and also beneficial to the fields of Education and Health respectively in Colombia southwestern area. The case presents the development of this partnership between two institutions that manage and implement high quality principles where there are common characteristics that converge and complement to achieve their objectives. With this alliance in place, an agreement was signed based on their mutual relationship as “Teaching and Service” with an initial term of 50 years. Upon this alliance, Clinica Valle del Lili Foundation ensures optimal delivery of basic and specialized health care to the community, while on the other hand, Icesi University ensures academic excellence to the training of medical students at undergraduate and graduate levels. The main goal of this case is to make clear the implications of the partnership between these two organizations as a strategic option that agrees to benefit from leverage, recognition, cost reduction and market positioning.

    The Synergy of the university - company is a link that tries to make dynamic the relation between the investigative units and the production units with the objective of generate supportive ties to improve each one of the parties. Is a process that doesn't affect only the direct parties, affect also the influence of the evolutionary process of a region and of a country in general. Because graduate students are the ones who get huge and important positions in a society and the companies are those that create and drive the employment and the regional development. For this reasons this links have to generate an add a value to each one of the parties not only at short term, also at medium and large term as well, to create a sustainable development and the successful adaptation of each one of the parties in the constant changes in this globally world. This study analyzes the research of university-business relations that exist in Latin America, its beginnings, its history, benefits do each of the parties, what were the social, the problems faced and possible solutions for these synergies to be successful. This facilitates organizational learning to stakeholders (universities and companies) and strengthens the bonds to be successful.

    After the Second World War due to technological changes which are under all economic entities in the world, Organizational learning has become a esecencial factor in the survival of organizations, the creation of competitive advantage and add value to their processes. And is it that we attach importance to this report, where we will know the features that different authors such as Nonaka and Takeuchi (1995) True knowledge engineers, Andrew Mayo and Lank Elizabet, writers of the book “Learning Organizations”, and other authors have attributed to this process. Additionally we will know some dimensions to consider in order achieving organizational learning, such as having experience, communication, teamwork and the importance of encouraging people to take risks to take challenges and learn from them. Finally, this process enables product innovation, improving processes, working environment, and above all improve the efficiency and effectiveness are important factors to survive and not succumb to the various internal and external situations that can go through an economic entity in the course of their life.

    Análisis del modelo de gestión estratégica para las empresas del subsector de apuestas permanentes - chance: caso Salamanca

    ¿Es conveniente continuar con el proceso de unión, vía alianzas estratégicas con el fin de lograr el mejoramiento del nivel de eficiencia y dejar de ser uno de los pocos departamentos de Colombia en donde existen diferentes compañías para licitar ante el Estado en el año 2011? Corresponde a uno de los interrogantes que se busca resolver en este trabajo con el propósito de direccionar a los accionistas y sus compañías del sector de los Juegos de Suerte y Azar (juegos localizados, dentro de los cuales están todos los que se llevan a cabo en casinos, tragamonedas. bingos, etc.; juegos promocionales que se desprenden de actividades comerciales orientadas al incremento de las ventas; baloto, rifas, eventos hípicos, loterías y Apuestas Permanentes conocidas comúnmente como chance), hacia un fortalecimiento que les permita soportar las constantes y crecientes amenazas de empresas multinacionales y nacionales que advierten con incursionar en un mercado que consideran invulnerable.

    Factores de éxito de las alianzas estratégicas: el caso de las empresas integradoras mexicanas

    The purpose of this work was to explore the performance factors at Mexican integrative companies (a form of strategic alliance), by applying a comprehensive theoretical model derived from a thorough review of literature published from 1985 to 2010. The results obtained show that the performance of alliances depends on two actors, namely, the partner and the alliance, each of which has its own determining factors.
